I found out from a post on Facebook that a well known Barnes & Noble across from the Lincoln Center in New York is closing. It suddenly reminded me of the film, You Got Mail when Kathleen Kelly (Meg Ryan), owner of the Shop Around The Corner tried to fight off Fox Books, a large discount bookstore owned by Joe Fox (Tom Hanks).

Pastor Jones of a puny congregation in Gainesville, Fl has ruled the world this past week. I find it quite incredulous that the entire world has tuned him in and instead of tuning him out because of the potential burning of the Quran.

I have always been fascinated with the life of Basquiat. Sadly, like many great artists he had a troubled life, created phenomenal work, and died young. Artist and filmmaker Tamra Davis is premiering a new film called JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT: THE RADIANT CHILD in New York on July 21 at the Film Forum which will run to August 3rd. Check it out.
